On Sunday afternoon, Lidköpings FK and Borgeby FK faced off at Framnäs IP A-plan in front of an audience of 217 people. The referee for the match was Anela Aganspahic, assisted by Michael Kostrzewa and Sirwan Zangana.
Lidköpings FK started the match strongly, and after 27 minutes, Sandra Lagerbratt scored to make it 1-0. They continued to pressure Borgeby FK and increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal from Jessie Scarpa in the 34th minute. Just five minutes later, it was Taylor Marie Townsend who extended the lead even further.
Shortly before halftime, Lagerbratt scored her second goal of the day, and Lidköpings FK went into halftime with a 4-0 lead.
After the break, Lidköpings FK made two substitutions, while Borgeby FK also made two of their own. This seemed to give Borgeby FK a new spark, as they scored their first goal just three minutes later through Ilirjana Ademi. A quarter of an hour into the second half, Rebecka Holm scored Borgeby FK’s second goal.
Lidköpings FK responded by substituting Stina Thomsen for Maja Green, and shortly thereafter, Amanda Altheden from Borgeby FK received a yellow card.
With thirteen minutes left in the match, both Lidköpings FK and Borgeby FK made a substitution. Lidköpings FK brought in Anna Larsson in place of Moa Heinulf, while Eleonor Hättmark replaced Elin Palklint for Borgeby FK.
Lidköpings FK’s Lagerbratt received a warning in the 80th minute, but just two minutes later, the ball was in Borgeby FK’s net again. This time, it was Thea Birgerud who scored.
The match ended with an exciting comeback from Borgeby FK, but Lidköpings FK managed to hold on and win the match with a final score of 4-3.
