Lidköpings FK applied pressure from the start and took the lead after just ten minutes when Taylor Marie Townsend scored to make it 0-1. Before halftime, Caroline Olsson doubled the lead to 0-2.

At halftime, AIK made a substitution, bringing in Elsa Törnblom von Schmalensee, which proved to be a successful move as she reduced the deficit to 1-2 shortly after the hour mark.

After 70 minutes, AIK equalized with a penalty from Eva Nyström, and just a few minutes later, Rusul Rosa Kafaji scored to make it 3-2 for the home team.
