On Sunday morning, Sunnanå SK and Lidköpings FK faced off at Electrolux Home Arena in Elitettan. Despite an exciting match from both teams, it was Lidköpings FK who claimed victory with a score of 3-0.
The match started with a fast pace from both sides. Sunnanå SK had several chances early in the game, but they were unable to convert them into goals. Lidköpings FK, on the other hand, were very effective in their attacking plays, and this was evident in the 34th minute when Ebba Handfast found the back of the net, giving Lidköpings FK the lead.
After the goal, the match continued with intense drive from both teams, but it began to become increasingly physical. In the 51st minute, Ebba Handfast received what would be her second warning of the match. Sunnanå SK desperately tried to come back into the game and made a substitution at halftime, bringing Julia Forslund on for Kiera Nadine Heslam.
In the 63rd minute, Sunnanå SK made two more substitutions with Ellen Maund and Akuliina Korhonen, but still could not find a way to Lidköpings FK's goal. Instead, it was Lidköpings FK who extended their lead with another goal in the 64th minute, this time with a header from Ebba Handfast.
Lidköpings FK continued to dominate the match, making two substitutions in the 65th and 66th minutes with Juulia Grönlund and Johanna Axfeldt. Sunnanå SK still hoped to reduce the deficit, but in the 88th minute, Sandra Lagerbratt scored Lidköpings FK’s third goal, thus securing their victory in the match.
Despite numerous substitutions and efforts from Sunnanå SK, they could not change the outcome of the match. The final score was 3-0 in favor of Lidköpings FK, and it was definitely a well-deserved victory for them. The referee for the match was Sara Wiinikka, assisted by Tilde Larsson and Hamza Mohamed. The attendance at the arena was 50 people.
