Right from the kickoff, AIK showed which team had control over the match. Their pressing made it difficult for the visiting team to do anything with the ball. In the 31st minute, Matilda Nildén extended AIK's lead with a nice soccer cross. Gamla Upsala SK desperately attempted to reduce the deficit but AIK's defense shut down all their efforts. Daniella Famili made it 3-0 just before halftime.
The halftime break did Gamla Upsala SK some good, and they came out with more energy in the second half. They made a substitution by bringing in Thea Barkfeldt.
AIK continued to dominate and substituted Annika Svensson for Emelie Jansson. Later, Gamla Upsala SK replaced Moa Andersson with Stina Huss and tried to mount more frequent attacks. However, things did not go according to plan as Jennie Nordin headed in AIK's fourth goal in the 77th minute.
Gamla Upsala SK made another substitution when Tyra Uppfeldt replaced Sanna Öhlund, and AIK substituted Daniella Famili for Sara Nordin, Olivia Lindstedt for Mercy Sabuni Söderling, and Jennie Nordin for Wilma Ljung Klingwall.
It was Klingwall who drove the final nails into Gamla Upsala SK's coffin with two goals in stoppage time. The final score was 6-0 in favor of AIK, who now leads the table with three new points, while Gamla Upsala SK sinks to 12th place.
