It was an almost deserted arena on Sunday afternoon when Sundsvalls DFF faced Jitex BK in the final match of the season. Sundsvalls DFF was on a relegation spot and needed to win to have a chance to stay in Elitettan. Jitex BK, positioned higher in the table, wanted to finish the season with a victory.

The match began with Sundsvalls DFF starting off strong. Just six minutes in, Amanda Hagelberg opened the scoring for the home team. Jitex BK tried to respond, but it was Sundsvalls DFF that was strongest on the field. After 25 minutes, Amanda Hagelberg headed in her second goal of the day, giving the home team a 2-0 lead.

Jitex BK made two substitutions at halftime, but it didn’t help much. Sundsvalls DFF continued to dominate the match, and after 30 minutes, Molly Wiklander further extended the lead by scoring Sundsvalls DFF’s third goal.

Jitex BK had a couple of chances to get back into the match, but Sundsvalls DFF's defense was too strong for their attacks. Hannah Tillett from the home team received a warning after 63 minutes, but otherwise, the match was largely fair play.
