However, Piteå IF FF did not lose heart and quickly responded through Pashang Abdulla, who equalized in the seventeenth minute. Abdulla showcased his excellent free-kick skills and also put Piteå IF FF ahead 2-1 in the twenty-sixth minute.

Before the final whistle, Umeå FC was able to make two substitutions - Samuel Persson came on for Ali, and Victor Kamf replaced Alexis Bbakka.
