On Saturday afternoon, first-placed Gefle IF FF faced off against second-placed Sandvikens IF at Gavlevallen in Ettan Norra. The match seemed to be going Sandviken's way when Naeem Mohammed scored the first goal in the 20th minute. Gefle IF FF struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, and Oscar Lundin received a yellow card in the 45th minute.

In the second half, the play was tougher as both teams worked hard on the field. Theodor Hansemon and Gustav Thörn each received a yellow card, and John Junior Igbarumah also received a warning. However, in the 61st minute, Martin Rauschenberg Brorsen managed to score a goal and gave the home team a chance for a comeback.

Gefle IF FF substituted in Antonio Yakoub, Cihan Sener, and Tshutshu Tshakasua Wa Tshakasua, while Sandvikens IF brought in Mohammed Sadat Abubakari, Danilo Al-Saed, and Kofi Fosuhene Asare in an attempt to secure a victory. Mamadou Kouyate received a yellow card in the 76th minute, and in the 82nd minute, he was shown a red card after a hard tackle. In the 87th minute, Antonio Yakoub scored a goal for Gefle IF FF, raising expectations among the home crowd.
