Vasalund turned a deficit into victory as they defeated Piteå IF FF 2-1 at Skytteholms IP 1 in Ettan Norra. The first half was quite balanced with chances on both sides, but it was Piteå that took the lead after sixteen minutes. Fredrik Johansson found the net behind Vasalund's goalkeeper and made it 0-1.

After the goal, both teams continued to create scoring opportunities, but it was not until the 32nd minute that Vasalund managed to equalize. Nicklas Maripuu scored the goal, assisted by Christian Moses. The score was thus 1-1 at halftime.

The second half began with a lot of play in the middle of the field, but Vasalund would eventually find the net again. After an hour had passed on the clock, Christian Moses scored the decisive goal of the match, assisted by Mattias Bouvin. After this, not much more happened on the pitch, apart from a few expulsions and substitutions. Vasalund won the match 2-1 and collected three important points in the fight to avoid relegation from Ettan Norra.
