It was a lovely Sunday afternoon at Umeå Energi Arena SOL when the home team Umeå FC faced Nordic United FC in the Ettan Norra series. A match that would turn out to be a real nail-biter for the 482 spectators present.

Just 10 minutes into the match, Nordic United FC took the lead through Mahmut Özen, who headed the ball into the net. The guests, dressed in red, seemed to have complete control early in the game, but Umeå FC proved to be a tough nut to crack.

In the 27th minute, Umeå FC made their first substitution when Isac Spanedal came on for Linus Marklund Panboon. The substitution seemed to give the team a new spark, as eight minutes later, Kerfala Cissoko equalized after a fine pass from Anton Nyholm.

Nordic United FC changed their lineup at halftime, bringing on Charbel Ceylan and Anas Al Asbahi for Benjamin Laturnus and Adhavan Rajamohan. However, it was Umeå FC that took the lead in the 67th minute after a header from Anton Nyholm, assisted by Alexander Seger.

Nordic United FC continued to fight and made two substitutions in the 69th minute. Sebastian Rajalakso and Shergo Shhab replaced Amar Eminovic and Mahmut Özen. But it was Shhab who became the hero of the match when he equalized for the guests in the 77th minute.

The match took a dramatic turn in the 73rd minute when Nordic United FC’s Mamadouba Diaby received his second yellow card and was sent off. With one fewer player on the field, Umeå FC managed to score their third goal through William Hofvander, with an assist from Tobias Westin, in the 81st minute.

Umeå FC made three substitutions in the final minutes of the match to hold off Nordic United FC, with Amaro Bahtijar and Isak Johansson coming on for Anton Nyholm and William Hofvander, while Lukas Bergquist took over for Severin Tatolna.
