Motala AIF FK secured an important victory when they faced IF Sylvia at Idrottsparken on Saturday evening. After a long period of a balanced match, Motala AIF FK achieved an early goal in the third minute. The goal was scored by 25-year-old Simon Karlsson after a well-placed pass from teammate Albin Ödberg.
IF Sylvia had a chance to equalize through Jonathan Johnsson in the 29th minute, but his shot was blocked by the home defense. Instead, Motala AIF FK received a warning in the 31st minute when Lukas Eek was shown a yellow card. Both teams fought hard in midfield during the first half, and Amer Ibrahimovic from IF Sylvia also received a yellow card just before halftime.
During the halftime break, Motala AIF FK substituted Youssef Khaled for David Burubwa. After the break, the pace of the match increased and about 20 minutes into the second half, Tarik Hamza received a warning for the home team. IF Sylvia attempted to turn the game around with a double substitution in the 67th minute, bringing on Abdul Aziz and Pontus Tillmar to replace Amer Ibrahimovic and Elvis Lindkvist. However, Motala AIF FK continued to fend off attacks from the visitors.

IF Sylvia tried to create chances, but the Motala AIF FK defense stood strong. In the 81st minute, Ali Kachmar came on for Ture Sandberg for IF Sylvia, and Daniel Hanna replaced Amer Jusic to add more offense to the team. Granit Hana was also substituted in for Motala AIF FK for Majkel Bagir. Edvin Tellgren from IF Sylvia received a second yellow card in the match and was thus sent off.
