It was FC Trollhättan who took the lead after just twelve minutes when Alibek Aliev scored the opening goal, making it 1-0. Yoann Fellrath doubled the lead to 2-0 just six minutes later. Vänersborgs IF received a warning when Miljan Nacic picked up a yellow card in the eleventh minute, and Anton Hellborg received a warning in the thirty-eighth minute.
