It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when Vänersborgs IF hosted Oskarshamns AIK at Vänersvallen Nord artificial turf in front of an audience of 332 people. The referee Haris Memisević and his assistants Viktor Sundberg and Bujar Meziu were ready to officiate the match in Ettan Södra.

The match could not have started better for the away team when Tamazi Tsetskhladze scored Oskarshamn's first goal in the 37th minute. Vänersborgs IF tried to come back with a substitution at halftime, but in the 51st minute, Zakaria Sawo extended the visitors' lead to 0-2.

Vänersborgs IF made two more substitutions and attempted several offensive efforts to get on the scoreboard, but they were unsuccessful. Instead, they watched as Oskarshamn's Daniel Barrow entered the game in the 61st minute and caused significant danger on the field.

Tamazi Tsetskhladze from Oskarshamns AIK received a warning in the 68th minute, but that could not prevent Arton Podrimcaku from scoring Oskarshamn's third and final goal in the 90+2 minute. Vänersborgs IF also received two warnings at the end of the match, but nothing could save them from a 0-3 defeat.

Oskarshamns AIK could return home to Småland with three much-needed points after a well-played match on the road. Vänersborgs IF will need to regroup and prepare for their next match.
