FC Trollhättan extended their impressive winning streak in Ettan Södra when they faced bottom team Vänersborgs IF at Edsborgs IP A-plan. Samuel Rundqvist gave the home team the lead in the 20th minute after a nice pass from Kevin Liimatainen. Just ten minutes later, Alibek Aliev made it 2-0 with a well-placed header, again assisted by Liimatainen.

In the second half, the visiting team brought on both Paul Khajo and Kim Dickson in an attempt to find their way back into the match, but it was FC Trollhättan that continued to dominate. Following a handball in the penalty area, Aliev scored his second goal of the day, this time from the penalty spot, increasing the lead to 3-0.

Vänersborgs IF fought hard to reduce the deficit but could only manage to score their consolation goal in the 83rd minute when Eskil Thor found the net for the visitors. However, it was not enough to shake the home team, who continued to play with energy despite their comfortable lead.

The match concluded with a deserved 3-1 victory for FC Trollhättan, who remain unbeaten in Ettan Södra and take the lead in the table. Vänersborgs IF, on the other hand, continues to be the bottom team in the league and has a lot of work to do if they are to stay in the top division.
