The match started dramatically with a quick goal from Växjö in the fourth minute. Nellie Karlsson scored after a nice assist from Emmi Alanen. Despite this early setback, Vittsjö GIK managed to come back thanks to a strong performance by Elizabeth Eddy, who equalized to 1-1 in the 30th minute with a fine pass from Clara Markstedt.

Just two minutes later, Vittsjö took the lead due to an unfortunate own goal by Växjö, giving the team an advantage heading into the second half. In the 55th minute, Växjö made a substitution, bringing in Violah Nambi for Ini-Abasi Umotong, but despite this, they were unable to get closer to an equalizer.

In the 78th minute, Vittsjö extended their lead with a goal from Emily Gielnik, marking her fourth goal of the season with an assist from Michelle De Jongh. Växjö tried to make a final effort by making several substitutions towards the end of the match, but they were still unable to get any closer.
