The match between Djurgårdens IF FF and Växjö at Stockholm Stadium began intensely with several hot chances for both sides. Already after ten minutes, the referee showed the yellow card to Växjö's Jennie Nordin. It didn't take long before Djurgården took the lead through Michaela van den Bulk, who scored a penalty and made her fourth goal of the season.
Djurgårdens IF FF continued to press Växjö and just 15 minutes later increased their lead to 2-0. Once again, it was Michaela van den Bulk who provided the goal, this time assisted by Olivia Schough. Despite an intense effort from Växjö to get back into the match, they did not manage to create any truly dangerous attacks in the first half.
In the second half, Växjö came out stronger and after 52 minutes they reduced the deficit through Ini-Abasi Umotong, who placed the ball behind Djurgården's goalkeeper. The match then continued with several chances for both sides, but neither team managed to score any more goals.
When the referee blew the final whistle, the score was 2-1 in favor of Djurgårdens IF FF. Despite Växjö's attempts to come back into the match, it was Djurgården who managed to hold on and take three important points in the pursuit of a better position in the table. With only 50 people in the stands due to restrictions, it was a special match experience for both players and spectators.
