Linköping FC delivered an impressive first half when the team faced Piteå IF DFF at home on Thursday afternoon. Just six minutes into the match, Linköping took a 1-0 lead when Cornelia Kapocs put the ball behind the goalkeeper. It didn't take long before the home team increased their lead as Uchenna Grace Kanu scored her third goal of the season with an assist from Frida Leonhardsen Maanum. Linköping continued to dominate, and Kapocs could net her second goal of the day after a nice pass.

Piteå fought to get back into the match, but Linköping kept them at bay in the first half. Just before halftime, however, Piteå managed to reduce the deficit when Maja Green scored from a penalty, making the score 4-1.

In the second half, Piteå tried to catch up and made substitutions, but it wasn't until the 71st minute that Anam Imo managed to score to make it 4-2. Piteå kept pressing and made a remarkable comeback when Guro Pettersen scored a free-kick goal in stoppage time, bringing the final score to 4-3 in favor of Linköping.

It was an exciting match, with Linköping putting forth a strong first half while Piteå fought back in the second. Tom Ghorbani and his team of referees maintained good control over the match despite several substitutions and a yellow card for Piteå. However, the audience had to stay home and watch the match on TV due to the pandemic, but both teams still delivered an entertaining soccer game.
