Linköping FC secured an important victory in the OBOS Damallsvenskan when they defeated Djurgårdens IF FF 3-1 on Sunday evening. The match at Linköping Arena featured both a red card and goals.

Just 13 minutes into the game, Djurgården faced a heavy setback when Portia Boakye received a red card for a violent tackle. Linköping took advantage of the numerical superiority and took the lead 1-0 through Cornelia Kapocs, who headed in Heidi Elisabeth Ellingsen's cross.

Linköping continued to press, and they found the net again just before halftime when Kapocs scored again, this time with a fine shot from the penalty area.
