Linköping FC impressed in Thursday evening's match against Växjö at home at Linköping Arena. Following an early substitution where Cornelia Kapocs replaced Sofie Bruun Bredgaard, things started to happen on the field. In the 30th minute, Yuka Momiki scored the first goal of the match after a nice assist from Amalie Jørgensen Vangsgaard. Just five minutes later, Alva Selerud made it 2-0 after a pass from Kapocs.

Linköping wasn't satisfied there, and Heidi Elisabeth Ellingsen scored 3-0 just two minutes later, providing a welcome buffer before halftime. But it wasn't over yet. Uchenna Grace Kanu made it 4-0 in the 42nd minute after an assist from Momiki, who was doing an excellent job on the field.

At halftime, Växjö made a substitution, but it didn't help when Amalie Jørgensen Vangsgaard scored the fifth and final goal for Linköping FC in the 47th minute with a lovely penalty kick. Amanda Johnsson Haahr replaced Juliette Mikaela Kemppi in the 55th minute for Växjö, but it did little to turn the match around.

Linköping FC substituted Momiki and Olga Adela Ahtinen for Nadiia Kunina and Wilma Thörnkvist in the 61st minute. Emilie Henriksen was brought in for Växjö in the 69th minute for Elin Karlsson, but that didn't change the final result.

Mimmi Strömgren was substituted in for Stina Lennartsson in the 70th minute for Växjö, but Linköping FC wasn’t done yet and made two more substitutions. Ronja Karlsson Törnborg replaced Kapocs in the 76th minute, and Johanna Alm came off for Emma Bülow also in the 76th minute.

With this big win, Linköping FC climbs a couple of spots in the table, creating a solid foundation for the rest of the season. It will be exciting to see how they perform in the next match.
