On Sunday afternoon, June 19, an exciting soccer match was played in the OBOS Damallsvenskan between Linköping FC and Umeå IK FF at Linköping Arena. Before the match, Umeå IK FF was in a disappointing 12th place in the table, while Linköping FC was in second place.

The match started at 13:00 and there were expectations that Linköping FC would dominate, given Umeå's eight-match losing streak. At the start of the match we saw that only 622 spectators had made it to the arena to see this meeting. The referee for the match was Lovisa Johansson, with assistance from Ayse Bozkurt and Caroline Lindqvist.

Already in the 26th minute, Linköping FC offered a fantastic goal. Olga Adela Ahtinen was responsible for this goal, which was also her 3rd of the season. In the 50th minute, Heidi Elisabeth Ellingsen again showed why she was a much-needed addition to the pitch by scoring her first goal of the season to give Linköping FC a 4-0 lead. In the 62nd minute, Amalie Jørgensen Vangsgaard was replaced by Cornelia Kapocs.

Another goal was scored for Linköping FC in the 68th minute when Yuka Momiki found himself among the scorers with his second goal of the day. Stina Lennartsson was behind this by assisting the goal.

Linköping FC continued to dominate and in the 80th minute Alva Selerud scored his first goal of the season and increased Linköping's lead to 6-0. The assist came from Therese Simonsson. Towards the end of the game, both teams made some substitutions to give players the opportunity to showcase themselves. In the 86th minute, Johanna Svedberg collected a ball and put it in the goal, increasing Linköping's lead to 7-0.

The match ended with a warning for Umeå IK FF when Vilma Emilia Koivisto drew a yellow card in the 94th minute. After this good start, Linköping FC now remains in second place in the table, while Umeå IK FF is still in a disappointing 12th place.
