Vittsjö GIK and AIK met in an exciting soccer match in the OBOS Damallsvenskan on Saturday afternoon. The match was played at Vittsjö IP A-plan in front of 501 spectators. Referee Sara Persson officiated the match, assisted by Viktoria Månsson and Zilhad Zigovic.

Before the match, AIK had lost their last five matches and desperately needed a victory to turn their form around.

The match started intensely, and it was AIK that received the first warning in the 23rd minute. Remy Siemsen was cautioned by the referee.

In the 39th minute, Vittsjö GIK opened the scoring. Clare Polkinghorn scored her fourth goal of the season with a header, assisted by Katrina-Lee Gorry. The score was now 1-0 to Vittsjö GIK.

At halftime, AIK made a substitution. Chinyelu Asher came on for Allison Aaricka Maclaren Abbe.

In the second half, Vittsjö GIK made a substitution in the 58th minute. Kayla Adamek came on for Nellie Persson.

AIK also substituted players during the second half. In the 68th minute, Emelie Jansson came on for Wilma Ljung Klingwall, and Kaisa Collin came on for Sara Nordin. At the same time, Julia Olsson was replaced by Caroline Murray.
