On a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Silbohof D pitch, Sils IF faced IFK Kalmar in an exciting match in the Söderettan for women. Despite Sils IF being in 7th place in the table and IFK Kalmar in 4th, it was IFK Kalmar that showcased their strength on the field.
Already in the 20th minute, IFK Kalmar took the lead through Inte Koster, setting the tone for the rest of the match. After that, IFK Kalmar continued to dominate, and in the 26th minute, Cassandra Olofsson extended the lead to 2-0. Before halftime, Linnéa Johansson also managed to score, making it 3-0 for IFK Kalmar.
In the second half, Sils IF tried to fight their way back into the match with a goal by Caroline Berling in the 59th minute, but Karolina Arvidsson from IFK Kalmar stopped Sils IF's comeback with her goal in the 58th minute, making the final score 4-1 in favor of IFK Kalmar.
Despite attempts from both teams to ignite the game as it progressed, it was IFK Kalmar that proved to be the stronger side and continued to push forward. IFK Kalmar emerged victorious and celebrated three points, while Sils IF now needs to recover ahead of their next match.
