Mallbackens IF secured an important home victory against Vittsjö GIK in Sunday’s match at Strandvallen. In front of a crowd of 205, Mallbacken started strong and took the lead already in the 15th minute through Ida Nordqvist.

Vittsjö GIK tried to rally back and substituted Sara Nilsson for Louise Green at halftime. However, it was Mallbacken that increased the pace after the break and created several dangerous chances. In the 71st minute, Louise Haraldsson extended the lead to 2-0, which turned out to be the final score.

Despite two yellow cards for Vittsjö GIK, neither team could find the net again. Mallbackens IF was able to record a much-needed victory, which reduced the gap to the other teams at the bottom of the table.
