Östers IF faced Hovås Billdal IF in an exciting match at Arenastaden in Växjö. Unfortunately, despite it being a Saturday afternoon, there were no spectators present to witness the game.
Referee Elsa Nylander blew the whistle to start the match, and it was Östers IF who took the lead after 35 minutes through Amalia Karlsson. After a well-executed first half, Östers continued to press and in the 58th minute, Victoria Casswall doubled the lead to 2-0.
Hovås Billdal tried to get back into the match and made two substitutions in the 67th minute, bringing on Rebecka Othbäck and Sigrid Olsson for Mimmi Sjöqvist and Amanda Svensson. Despite several attempts to reduce the deficit, Östers defended well and held their ground.
Östers also made a substitution in the 75th minute when Ida Rohman came on for goal-scorer Amalia Karlsson. Hovås Billdal made another substitution in the 81st minute, with Johanna Sigvardsson replacing Sara Baldebo, but it did not help them get back into the match.
The match ended 2-0 to Östers IF, a well-deserved victory for the team, who impressed both offensively and defensively throughout the game.
