The final match of the year at Strandvallen between Mallbackens IF and Östers IF turned out to be an intense and exciting event. Despite the early autumn evening, the temperature on the field was high, and both teams were fighting for three points.
The match started quite calmly, with both teams trying to find their positions on the field. However, it was Östers IF that took the lead in the 69th minute through a penalty that Victoria Casswall confidently converted. Mallbackens IF, on the other hand, felt no panic and continued to press for an equalizer.
The equalizer came in the 74th minute when Mimmi Larsson sent the ball into the net after a nice attack from Mallbackens IF. The play remained even, and although both teams created several goal-scoring opportunities, neither managed to find the net again before the referee blew the final whistle.
Referee Robin Smedman had his hands full keeping track of the game and also issued a few yellow cards during the match, including to Klara Grönevik and Amalia Karlsson from Östers IF.
After the final whistle, the score stood at 1-1 on the scoreboard, and both teams headed home with one point each in their bags. Mallbackens IF won the league this year, while Östers IF finished in a respectable third place in the table. An exciting conclusion to the season and a sign that both teams have much to look forward to in the upcoming season.
