Hammarby won an important match in Superettan on Tuesday evening when they faced league leaders Assyriska FF at Södertälje Fotbollsarena. In front of a crowd of 4,112, it looked like it would be a close match between the teams for a long time, but in the second half, Hammarby showed why they are a top team in the league.

The game was tight from the start, and both teams had chances to take the lead, but it didn't take long before Hammarby began making substitutions. In the 24th minute, Carlos Gaete Moggia was replaced by Petter Furuseth. Assyriska FF responded with a substitution in the 35th minute when David Björkeryd was replaced by Ilyas Merkes.

The match ended with a yellow card for Ceyhun Eris of Assyriska FF. The final result was 0-3 in favor of Hammarby, who moved up to fourth place while Assyriska FF still leads the league with a two-point advantage over second place. The referee Johan Hamlin, along with assistants Fredrik Johansson and Patrik Klintberg, officiated the match excellently.
