Östers IF faced Hammarby at home in an exciting match on Monday evening at Arenastaden in Växjö. In front of 2,480 supporters, the match started with high intensity and fast-paced play from both teams.

Just 11 minutes in, the ball hit the net behind Östers IF's goalkeeper when Hammarby's Linus Hallenius scored the first goal of the match. After 24 minutes, it was again Hallenius who stepped up and put the ball in the net, increasing Hammarby's lead to 0-2. David Vidarsson of Östers IF received a yellow card in the 35th minute, a sign of the intensity of the match.

Östers IF continued to fight and had several chances to score before Elmin Nurkic seized the opportunity and reduced the score to 1-2 in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, Hammarby responded quickly when Maic Sema made it 1-3 just four minutes later. But Östers IF did not give up, and before halftime, Olivier Karekezi reduced the score to 2-3, giving hope for a comeback.

At halftime, Hammarby substituted Filip Bergman for Isak Dahlin, which proved to be a fortunate move as Sebastian Castro Tello increased Hammarby's lead to 2-4 just eight minutes later. However, Bergman received a yellow card shortly after the goal.

Östers IF tried to push for an equalizer but had difficulty creating truly dangerous chances. In the 61st minute, Patrik Rickard Bojent was substituted for Anton Henningsson at Östers IF.

Hammarby brought in Fredrik Söderström for Simon Helg in the 71st minute. Shortly after, Jabu Mahlangu of Östers IF received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Östers IF made a substitution, with Alexander Henningsson replacing Daniel Petersson. Unfortunately, Freddie Borg received a yellow card just before he managed to score and make it 3-4 against Hammarby's goalkeeper in the 88th minute.

Östers IF fought until the last second, and Månz Berg received a yellow card in the closing minutes. Hammarby substituted Tobias Holmqvist for Linus Hallenius in the 90th minute, and Hallenius himself also received a yellow card after a hard-fought match.
