Hammarby faced Degerfors IF at Söderstadion in front of 5,147 spectators on Tuesday evening. The match started evenly, and it was not until 17 minutes into the game that scoring chances increased for the home team. Maic Sema gave Hammarby the lead with a well-placed shot that found the net behind the away goalkeeper.
Degerfors IF tried to find their way back into the match but it was Hammarby that continued to create dangerous situations in attack. After 58 minutes, Petter Furuseth extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal that fired up the crowd at Söderstadion and put Degerfors IF in an even tougher position.
