It was a sunny Sunday afternoon in Arenastaden, Växjö when Östers IF hosted IK Brage in the Superettan. In front of a crowd of 1,922, referee Per Melin blew the whistle to start the match.

Already eight minutes in, Öster took the lead with a neat goal from David Vidarsson, assisted by Freddy Borg. Öster continued to dominate the game and create dangerous chances, and in the 48th minute, Charles Anderson extended the lead with the help of Denis Velics' assist.

IK Brage tried to get back into the match and made two substitutions in the second half. But instead, it was Öster who increased their lead. In the 64th minute, Freddy Söderberg scored a goal, assisted by Olivier Karekezi.

IK Brage did not give up and fought to score at least one goal. Niklas Sandberg managed to score a consolation goal in the 69th minute, thanks to a pass from Mathias Wiklöf. But that was all they could muster, and Öster won the match 3-1.

Both Öster and IK Brage made substitutions in the second half, but it was Öster who proved to be stronger on the field. At the end of the match, Månz Berg and Niklas Forslund each received a yellow card. Öster thus secured an important home victory in front of a supportive crowd.
