It was an intense match at Idrottsparken when GIF Sundsvall faced Hammarby in a Superettan match on Wednesday evening. Both teams demonstrated a strong desire to win and kept the fans on their feet with several goal chances in the first half.
In the 22nd minute, GIF Sundsvall took the lead when Fredrik Holster headed in the ball after a nice assist from Roger Risholt. Hammarby, however, kept fighting and in the 40th minute, Sinan Ayranci equalized the match after an extension from Sebastian Castro Tello.
The second half continued to offer excitement, and in the 57th minute, Hammarby took the lead when Max Forsberg shot the ball in after a pass from Björn Runström. After that, GIF Sundsvall lost control of the game, and Hammarby capitalized on it by scoring their third goal. Castro Tello was the scorer this time after a great setup by Maic Sema.
But Sundsvall would not give up, and they managed to reduce the deficit in the 72nd minute through Pontus Engblom, who received the ball from Emil Forsberg. Engblom would later become the hero of the match when he equalized in the 85th minute, with help from David Myrestam.
The match ended 3-3, and both teams earned a point each. With this result, Sundsvall is in 10th place and Hammarby in 9th place in the Superettan table after the match.
