Östers IF humiliates Jönköpings Södra IF at home with a magnificent victory of 3-0. Östers IF displayed confidence and played with great self-assurance throughout the match at Stadsparksvallen this Monday evening.
It was in the 36th minute that Freddy Borg scored the first goal for Östers IF. Assisted by David Vidarsson, Borg found a good position and shot past the Jönköping goalkeeper to the right. Just two minutes later, Freddy Söderberg managed to net the second goal for Östers IF. Assisted by Emil Krafth, Söderberg broke through the Jönköping defense and placed the ball confidently into the right side of the goal.
At halftime, Jönköpings Södra IF brought in Sheriff Summa in an attempt to turn the match around, but it didn’t help much. Instead, Summa received a yellow card in the 71st minute and Jesper Svensson in the 72nd minute.
Östers IF remained more composed and continued to play with increasing confidence. In the 79th minute, Patrik Rickard Bojent scored the third goal for Östers IF with a fantastic assist from Freddy Borg. Borg was substituted shortly after for Alexander Henningsson.
Tom Siwe received a yellow card in the 81st minute, and Östers IF finished with a substitution, bringing in Matteo Blomqvist Rydén in the 84th minute and Darijan Bojanic in the 89th minute to replace Freddy Söderberg.
Jönköpings Södra IF has some thinking to do after this loss but remains in 7th place in the table. Östers IF, now situated in 4th place in the Superettan, is one of the top candidates for promotion to Allsvenskan this year.
