Degerfors IF managed to secure an important away victory against Östers IF at Värendsvallen. The match was evenly contested from start to finish, but it was Degerfors that succeeded in scoring the only goal of the game. After a nice combination on the right flank, Niklas Klingberg delivered a fine pass to Christophe Lallet, who was able to slot the ball past Östers' goalkeeper Anel Ahmedhodzic.

After the goal, Östers had several opportunities to equalize, but Degerfors' defense held strong and maintained the 1-0 victory. Östers tried to apply pressure on Degerfors' defense by substituting in offensive players, but it yielded no results.

The match was physically tough, and both teams received several warnings from referee Per Melin. Patrik Rickard Bojent and Månz Berg received yellow cards for Östers, while Erik Jernberg, Marcus de Bruin, and Andreas Holmberg received yellow cards for Degerfors.

The crowd at Arenastaden was 2,751 people, who, despite the loss, continued to support Östers IF throughout the match. Degerfors, on the other hand, could celebrate an important victory that placed them fourth in the Superettan table.
