Ängelholms FF were able to maintain their strong form at home when they faced Västerås SK FK at Ängelholm IP on Sunday. In front of over a thousand spectators, the home team dominated from the start and by the 28th minute, Jakob Augustsson scored to make it 1-0 after a nice attack. Västerås tried to respond but were quickly warned when Oscar Pehrsson received a yellow card.
After the goal, Ängelholm struggled to elevate their game and it wasn't until the 43rd minute that the next goal was scored. Tobias Ehrenstråle then extended the lead after a good pass from Martin Andersen. Although Västerås reduced the score to 2-1 in the 55th minute through Tobias Holmgren, they found it difficult to break through Ängelholm's defense.
In the 70th minute, the home team once again found the net as Jakob Augustsson scored his second goal of the day, extending the lead to 3-1. Västerås made a couple of substitutions in hopes of getting a goal back, but Ängelholm held firm. In the 90th minute, Ängelholm made another substitution when Albin Nilsson replaced Bjorn Westerblad. With just a few minutes remaining, Västerås' Andras Brinkeborn Östling received a yellow card.
The match ended 3-1 in favor of the home team, Ängelholms FF, who continue to impress at home. Västerås SK FK will take lessons from the match and look forward to their next game. The referee for the day was Magnus Ahlsén, who, along with assistant referees André Ovenberger and Henrik Svensson, did a great job.
