On Sunday evening, Västerås SK FK faced Falkenbergs FF in Superettan at Hitachi Energy Arena. In front of a crowd of 1,326, the match was kicked off by referee Dragan Banjac, with Tobias Langkow and Gustav Axmon as assistant referees.

The match began with a relatively calm period where both teams exchanged chances without managing to score. In the 23rd minute, Falkenbergs FF's Robin Gnamyey received a yellow card. But just eleven minutes later, Falkenberg took the lead when Erik Berg scored a nice header past the Västerås goalkeeper. The assist came from Per Johansson.

Västerås did not let the early setback deter them, and in the 39th minute, Filip Tronét managed to equalize. Simon Lundevall provided the assist.

After the halftime break, Falkenberg emerged as the stronger team. In the 65th minute, Robin Gnamyey was substituted for Stefan Rodevåg, and just a minute later, David Svensson was replaced by Tobias Helldén. However, despite the changes, neither team was able to create any significant chances during this period.

In the 79th minute, Erik Berg received a yellow card for an altercation with the match referee. Just a few minutes later, Västerås SK's Mete was substituted for Berhane. In the 84th minute, Tronét was substituted for Sjöberg in a final attempt for Västerås to regain control of the match.

But before the referee could blow the final whistle, Falkenberg managed to score their second goal of the match. Erik Berg became the match hero when he, assisted by Marcus Översjö, pushed the ball into Västerås' net. Västerås brought in Robin Blommé in the 91st minute to try to salvage at least one point, but with no success.

The match ended with a 1-2 victory for Falkenberg. With this win, they climbed up the table to sit in third place. Västerås, on the other hand, is struggling and is now placed in thirteenth place in Superettan.
