IFK Värnamo failed to take on a visiting Västerås SK FK at Finnvedsvallen in a Superettan match on Sunday afternoon. The crowd of 1,246 was silent as the team suffered a 2-3 defeat. Referee Jim Petersson maintained control of the match, assisted by Christian Andersson and Henrik Svensson.
Västerås SK FK scored the first goal 26 minutes into the game when Andreas Brinkeborn Östling found the net with an assist from Victor Nilsson Lindelöf. IFK Värnamo equalized in the 34th minute through Donald Wellington, assisted by Viktor Claesson.
The blue-and-white striped team took the lead in the second half with Dzenis Kozica scoring in the 50th minute with an assist from Tobias Englund. Koyar Salimi was substituted in for Västerås SK FK in the 59th minute and provided a pass to Mattias Mete for the equalizer in the 70th minute.
Andreas Svensson came on for IFK Värnamo in the 78th minute for an offensive move, and Bujar Ferizi was substituted in to replace Donald Wellington a few minutes later. Jimmy Pätsi was brought in for the visiting team in the 86th minute, and Jonas Hellgren left the field for a final change.
Just as the match was nearing its end, Marcus Danielson scored in stoppage time for Västerås SK FK, giving the away team the victory. Robin Blommé was substituted in during stoppage time for Västerås SK FK for Stefan Bärlin.
IFK Värnamo will now attempt to recover from this defeat in the Superettan tournament, while Västerås SK FK carries this important win forward.
