Halmstads BK secured a much-anticipated victory against Trelleborgs FF at Örjans Vall in Superettan on Monday evening. With an attendance of 2,109 spectators, Halmstad quickly took control of the match and applied pressure on Trelleborg. After 24 minutes of play, the home team took the lead through Johnny Lundberg, assisted by Christian Järdler.
Halmstad continued to dominate the match and extended their lead with a goal from Mikael Boman in the 51st minute, assisted by Kristinn Steindórsson. Trelleborgs FF attempted to mount a comeback, but it wasn't until the 61st minute that Kristian Haynes managed to score for the visiting team.
