Östers IF once again showed why they lead Superettan as they defeated Umeå FC by a significant margin away from home. The match started with some tough duels and an early warning for the visitors' Alexander Henningsson. Umeå FC attempted to create some dangerous chances but struggled to break through Östers IF's strong defense.
In the 33rd minute, the visitors scored the first goal when Freddy Söderberg skillfully put the ball in the net. Umeå FC fought to come back but had a hard time against Östers IF's skilled defense. Danny Persson received a warning in the 40th minute, before Ali Jasim was substituted for Joel Burström.
The second half began with a beautiful pass from Stefan Karlsson to Alexander Henningsson, who threw himself forward and made it 0-2 for Östers IF in the 49th minute. Umeå FC pushed for more attacks, but in the 67th minute, Freddy Söderberg scored his second goal of the day, while Matteo Blomqvist Rydén was substituted in the 82nd minute and scored the fourth and final goal of the match just a few minutes later.
Umeå FC brought in Simon Mårtensson and Hampus Bohman in hopes of turning the match around, but it was not enough against Östers IF's skilled team. The match ended 0-4, and the visitors continue to impress in Superettan, while Umeå FC finds themselves in a struggle to avoid relegation.
