On this Wednesday evening, it was time for a match between Degerfors IF and IFK Värnamo at Stora Valla. The home team, Degerfors, was second to last in the standings, while the visitors, IFK Värnamo, were at the bottom. Despite this, it was the guests who drew first blood, taking an early lead through Tobias Englund after 13 minutes.

The goal gave Värnamo some energy, and they maintained the tempo. However, in the 17th minute, the guests made it difficult for themselves when Martin Claesson received a red card.

After that, it was all Degerfors. After 55 minutes, Alexander Andersson equalized to 1-1, and then the home team continued to score.

Christopher Brandeborn and Amadaiya Rennie each netted a goal before Kwame Amponsah Karikari scored two goals in quick succession, first with an assist from Daniel Sundgren and then another assist from Rennie.

Jesper Karlsson then rounded off Degerfors' goal fest with two goals in a short time, after assists from Rennie and another substitute, Ghandy Kassenu.

The match ended with a convincing 6-1 victory for Degerfors. Despite the loss, IFK Värnamo can still take some positives from the opening period but must now work hard to avoid relegation.
