A well-played match at Påskbergsvallen ended in a draw between Varbergs BoIS FC and Trelleborgs FF. Trelleborg took the lead in the first half when Mattias Adelstam pushed the ball in after a nice pass from Thiago Pinto Borges. Varberg tried to find their way back into the match but struggled to create dangerous scoring opportunities. Instead, Trelleborg remained in the match and had chances to extend their lead.
In the second half, Varberg substituted in Pierre Tillman, which turned the tide of the game. After a cross from Jonas Lindberg, Alexander Mellqvist scored and equalized to 1-1. Shortly after, Varberg substituted Jonatan Berg for Korab Gashi, who would make a big difference.
Trelleborg regained the lead through Thiago Pinto Borges, who lunged forward to meet a cross from Zoran Jovanovic. However, with a quarter of an hour left in the match, Trelleborg's prolific striker had to leave the field, while Varberg brought on Joakim Sjöhage.
With just a few minutes left in the match, the equalizer came. Korab Gashi made a nice pass to Alexander Mellqvist, who scored his second goal of the day. The match ended 2-2, and both teams were satisfied to have earned a point. A well-played match where the crowd favorites Varbergs BoIS FC demonstrated that they can fight and score even when they are behind.
