IFK Värnamo secured a very important victory at home at Finnvedsvallen in today's match against Ängelholms FF. Despite the home team being at the bottom of the table, that was not reflected in their performance today.
The match started cautiously, and it was not until the 43rd minute that something happened when Carlos Gaete Moggia received a yellow card. However, in the second half, the game opened up, and things quickly turned decisive for the home team.
In the 50th minute, IFK Värnamo took the lead through Martin Claesson, and ten minutes later, Jonathan Ring doubled the lead to 2-0 after a nice pass from Bill Halvorsen.
Ängelholms FF made three substitutions in the 64th minute, but it didn't help much. Instead, Mohammed Abdulrahman scored a beautiful goal in the 74th minute, silencing the away supporters who had traveled to Värnamo.
With only nine minutes left on the clock, Abdulrahman scored his second goal of the day, and IFK Värnamo's fourth, which definitively settled the match. The home team was then able to finish the game with a 4-0 win, taking three well-deserved points.
The attendance was 1,024 people who made their way to Finnvedsvallen, and the referee was Mohammed Al-Hakim, assisted by Peter Arnesson and Mark Josef. Despite the yellow card to home player Gaete Moggia, it was a well-played and fair match. Hopefully, IFK Värnamo can use this victory as a boost of energy for the upcoming matches.
