Hammarby won an important match against Ängelholms FF at home at Söderstadion on Monday evening, with a score of 2-1 in front of 12,153 spectators. Hammarby convincingly took the lead after four minutes of play in the second half with a goal from Nikolas Ledgerwood, assisted by Erik Sundin. Almost twenty minutes later, Hammarby increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal from Erik Sundin, assisted by Mikael Rynell.

Ängelholms FF desperately sought a reduction and found consolation with a goal from Björn Westerblad late in injury time, assisted by Monday Samuel. But it was too late, and Hammarby could celebrate an important victory.

The match was not without controversy, with Marcus Törnstrand receiving a yellow card for Hammarby in the 20th minute and Marcus Lindberg receiving a yellow card for Ängelholms FF in the 53rd minute. Match referee Jim Petersson kept his cool despite the scuffle on the field, and his assistants Fredrik Klyver and Anders Böwing stayed on top of things.

After the match, Hammarby was in fourth place in the Superettan table, while Ängelholms FF was in sixth place. It was a strong performance from Hammarby, who now maintains their position at the top of the table and takes a step closer to qualifying for Allsvenskan.
