Ängelholms FF demonstrated their superiority when they defeated Assyriska FF 4-1 at the Södertälje Football Arena on Sunday evening. The match drew an audience of 1,665 people and was officiated by referee Niklas Abrahamsson, with assistant referees Fredrik Johansson and Conny Hugman.
Assyriska FF received an early warning in the 39th minute when Danilo Evangelista de Souza was shown a yellow card. Just before halftime, Ängelholm player Albin Nilsson also received a warning.
In the second half, the first goal of the match came from Ängelholm's Robin Simovic in the 47th minute. Assyriska FF brought on Sotirios Papagiannopoulos in the 65th minute in an attempt to turn the match around, but it was Simovic who again took the spotlight, scoring his second goal in the 69th minute.
Ängelholm further strengthened their lead when Muamet Asanovski was substituted in for Albin Nilsson in the 70th minute. Assyriska FF then tried to get back into the match by bringing on Ceyhun Eris and Bachir Katourgi in the 74th and 77th minutes, respectively. However, it wasn’t until Eris assisted Fuad Hyseni in the 83rd minute that the team was able to find the back of the net.
Assyriska FF's hopes for a comeback, however, were short-lived, as Ängelholm's Michael Mocevic Baggner scored a goal in injury time, bringing the final score to 4-1. Assyriska FF's Nahir Besara also received a yellow card in the 87th minute. Ängelholm celebrated a convincing away victory, and Robin Simovic proudly showcased a hat-trick.
