Jönköpings Södra IF crushed the bottom team IFK Värnamo on Monday evening when the two teams met at Finnvedsvallen in a Superettan match. It was the guests from Jönköping who took the lead after 24 minutes, thanks to a goal from Zurab Tsiskaridze. IFK Värnamo struggled to get into the match and received two yellow cards, through Johan Niklasson and Andreas Hadenius, before the halftime break.

In the second half, Jönköpings Södra IF took over more and more, and Pär Cederquist scored to make it 2-1 after 51 minutes. IFK Värnamo's Andreas Hadenius received his second yellow card just seconds later and was therefore sent off. Jönköpings Södra IF capitalized on the numerical advantage and scored two quick goals, with Tommy Thelin making it 3-1 and Daryl Smylie 4-1.

IFK Värnamo brought in Behar Ferizi in an attempt to shake up the team, but it was the guests who continued to dominate, and Daryl Smylie scored his second goal of the evening after an assist from Robert Gojani. With just three minutes left on the clock, the final verdict came - Daryl Smylie completed his hat trick and made it 5-1 for Jönköpings Södra IF. A heavy defeat for IFK Värnamo and a fine victory for Jönköpings Södra IF, who now strengthens their position in the middle of the table.
