IFK Värnamo came back from a two-goal deficit to ultimately win a dramatic match against Halmstads BK with a score of 3-2 away at Örjans Vall. It was Halmstad who took the lead in the first half when Mikael Boman scored to make it 1-0 after a nice pass from Gudjón Baldvinsson in the 52nd minute. Just two minutes later, Johnny Lundberg extended the lead to 2-0 after a good setup by Kristinn Steindórsson.

However, IFK Värnamo did not give up, and the halftime substitution, Peter Ericson, would make a positive impact as he contributed to the away team’s comeback. He was involved in the penalty situation that led to the 2-1 goal when Vladica Zlojutro scored from eleven meters in the 87th minute. Just three minutes later, Halmstad unfortunately also suffered an own goal, and in the 91st minute, it was IFK Värnamo that sealed the match when Dzenis Kozica scored after a cross from Behar Ferizi.

The audience at Örjans Vall witnessed an exciting and dramatic match, where IFK Värnamo showed great heart by coming back from a two-goal deficit to win the match 3-2. Referee Dragan Banjac and his assistants Andreas Björkman and Gustav Axmon managed the match clearly and convincingly.
