Hammarby and IFK Värnamo met at Söderstadion in an exciting match in the Superettan. The crowd was present, and the atmosphere was electric when referee Mohammed Al-Hakim blew the whistle to start the match on Sunday afternoon.
Already in the 13th minute, Hammarby's Adis Husidic received a yellow card after a tough tackle. IFK Värnamo's Carlos Gaete Moggia also got a yellow card in the 25th minute.
However, it was IFK Värnamo who would take the lead in the match. In the 40th minute, Pär Cederquist scored a goal and put the visitors ahead 1-0.
But Hammarby would not be defeated so easily. Just before halftime, in the 45th minute, Erik Figueroa equalized to 1-1 after a goal assisted by Kennedy Bakircioglu.
In the second half, both teams made several substitutions. IFK Värnamo brought on Durim Berisha in the 60th minute, while Hammarby substituted in Nahir Besara at the same time. In the 69th minute, IFK Värnamo's Joel Löw and Johan Niklasson each received a yellow card.
Niklasson would, however, receive another yellow card, and in the 72nd minute, he was sent off after picking up his second yellow. Hammarby went for another goal and brought on Sebastian Castro Tello in the 77th minute in a final effort.
IFK Värnamo also substituted in Erik Ferman in the 87th minute, but the match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw. It was a tough match with hard challenges on the field, and fan favorite Hammarby was unable to secure three points at home from Söderstadion this time.
