Landskrona BoIS secured a well-deserved victory in the Superettan match against IFK Värnamo on Monday evening at Landskrona IP. With an attendance of 1558 and a referee trio consisting of Lars Olsson with Magnus Vallerius and Andreas Söderkvist as assistant referees.
Just seven minutes in, Värnamo's Durim Berisha received a yellow card for a rough tackle. After half an hour of play, Landskrona earned a corner that led to a brilliant header by Fredrik Karlsson, giving the home team a 1-0 lead. After 41 minutes, Landskrona doubled their lead to 2-0 through Karlsson again, assisted by Amethyst Bradley Ralani. Värnamo had a few good opportunities but failed to find the back of the net. The first half concluded with a yellow card for Värnamo's Erik Ferman.
In the second half, Värnamo made several substitutions and tried to increase the pace. Landskrona also rotated players in an effort to maintain their lead. However, in the 85th minute, Värnamo managed to pull one back through David Björkeryd, but they were unable to equalize despite having a few chances in the final minutes.
The match ended 2-1 in favor of Landskrona BoIS, and the player of the match was Fredrik Karlsson with his two goals and one assist. Christoffer Tapper Holter received a yellow card at the end of the match for BoIS, and David Björkeryd also received a yellow card in the closing minutes for Värnamo.
