GIF Sundsvall managed to defeat the bottom team IFK Värnamo 1-0 in a tight match at Finnvedsvallen. Just nine minutes in, the guests took the lead through a nice combination between Johan Eklund and Adam Chennoufi, which Eklund was able to finish into the net. IFK Värnamo tried to come back into the match and created several dangerous chances, but Sundsvall's defense held strong.

In the 27th minute, Elmin Kurbegovic received a yellow card for the home team, and just a few minutes later Oscar Berglund received a yellow card for the visiting team. IFK Värnamo substituted Carlos Gaete Moggia in the 59th minute in place of Kurbegovic, and six minutes later, Abdul Rahman Khalili was given a yellow card.
