Östersunds FK defeated GAIS 2-0 in an exciting match at Jämtkraft Arena. The home team took the lead with an early goal in the second half, when Ammar Ahmed scored after a nice interplay with his teammates.
GAIS controlled the match for large parts of the first half, but Östersund managed to turn the game around in the second half. Taylor Lee Morgan received a yellow card after a tough tackle on an opponent, before GAIS brought on Patrik Wallin and Marcus Översjö in an attempt to turn the match.
Östersund then made substitutions as well, which proved to be a successful move, as both Jamie Ryan Hopcutt and Jason Walker contributed to the team's second goal. Rasmus Lindkvist scored the goal, and Jason Walker provided the assist.
GAIS tried many times during the match to create dangerous chances, but Östersund defended well and held firm until the end. Richard Spong received a yellow card for GAIS in stoppage time, but it did not help the team to score any more goals before the final whistle blew.
