Örebro took an early lead in the match when Magnus Wikström put the ball in the net after a fine pass from Ahmed Yasin in the 7th minute. Örgryte IS tried to equalize but struggled to create dangerous chances for the rest of the first half. Instead, the team received three yellow cards, one for Emil Ahdrian and two for Johan Lundgren and Sebastian Ohlsson.

In the second half, it was Örgryte who took the initiative and created several dangerous opportunities. In the 66th minute, they equalized through George Mourad, who capitalized on a nice pass from Hannes Sahlin.
