Degerfors attempted to find a way back into the game, but Hammarby maintained their lead, and Piñones-Arce scored his second goal of the match just before halftime. Johan Persson received a yellow card for Hammarby, and Patrik Anttonen for Degerfors IF during the first half.
In the second half, Hammarby continued to dominate, and Ferhad Ayaz received a yellow card for Degerfors IF. Hammarby made two substitutions, with Amadaiya Rennie and Kennedy Bakircioglu replacing Andreas Haddad and Piñones-Arce.
Lars Mendonca Fuhre confidently slotted in a third goal for Hammarby after an assist from Torsteinbö. Degerfors IF made their first substitution when Niklas Klingberg replaced Pontus Jakobsson, but it did not help against Hammarby's strong offense. Erik Israelsson was substituted in for Mendonca Fuhre and scored just minutes later, assisted by Michael Timisela.
Lawal Adebowale Ismail was brought on for Marcus Astvald on the Degerfors IF side, but it did little to change the outcome.
