In the fourth round of Superettan, IK Sirius FK faced Varbergs BoIS FC at Studenternas arena in Uppsala, in front of 2,255 spectators. The match was dominated by an early lead from the visiting team when Sinan Ayranci scored in the twelfth minute.

Sirius tried to fight their way back into the match, and Moses Orwohicho Ogbu managed to equalize in the 44th minute with an assist from Karl Larson.

But just five minutes into the second half, Ibrahim Koroma regained the lead for Varberg with a pass from Pierre Tillman. And just four minutes later, Robin Tranberg extended the lead to 3-1 when Sinan Ayranci set him up with a ball that found its way into the net.

Sirius desperately tried to come back, and Kim Skoglund managed to place a penalty in the net in the 56th minute. However, despite several substitutions from both sides, neither team could score again, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of Varberg.

Moses Orwohicho Ogbu from IK Sirius FK also received a yellow card in the 90th minute for a hard tackle. The referee, Patrik Eriksson, was assisted by Andreas Björkman and Fuad Ganibegovic as assistant referees.
